Print spooler error is a very common printer issue and can be annoying when it repeats persistently. This is a problem not only on PC’s, but happens with mobile phones as newer printers support printing from smartphones. You might want to know what a sprint spooler is? It is an application that processes data before sending to a low memory external device like a printer to handle the data. Because the printer has limited memory, it cannot receive the complete data due to its size and the print spooler can send large or even multiple documents.
Multiple problems can arise after you select to print, and one of the common issues is that the printer receives the command, but the spooler adds the file to the queue causing all other print jobs after it to stop. The other errors are, files in the spooler queue getting corrupted, the spoolers application crashing and the print jobs getting stuck in the queue. All these issues will prevent the printer from printing until you resolve it.
The print spooler error can be due to corrupted data, corrupted printer drivers, virus attack or in some cases due to the overlapping of another printer function. The last one usually happens in machines or systems that are connected to multiple peripherals like printers. It can also happen when the new printer driver is in conflict with the old printer drivers.
First press “Windows Key” = “R” to open the Run command box. In it enter “services.msc” and click “OK”. In the window that appears, scroll down to “Print Spooler” service and select it. In the window that comes next select “Automatic” in the list adjacent to “Startup Type”. Then, select OK and restart the PC and reinstall the printer software. If the problem still persists, then it must be due to corrupted printer drivers and it can be resolved by uninstalling the old printer software and installing updated printer software and drivers.
This can be resolved by clearing the Android Print Spooler cache and it can be done easily. Go to the “Settings” and from it select “Apps or Applications”. Then in “Default Apps” search for “Print Spooler” and select it. In the options that appear, select “Clear Cache”. Now the memory is clear and go to the document that you want to print and choose to print it.
Knowing how to fix print spooler error is important as it can save a lot of trouble in emergency situations.
